Boca Paila
Our first stop will be Boca Paila located in Sian Ka’an Nature Reserve, south of Tulum. Once you get to Boca Paila’s bridge you will see the mouth of the lagoon which converges with the blue waters of the sea. Just be aware that people are not allowed to swim in the lagoon since there are crocodiles in the area. Boca Paila is about 20 km from Tulum, following the way to Punta Allen.
Kaan Luum Lagoon
Right there in Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve there is another magic spot for your eyes, it is called Kaan Luum, which means “Yellow Earth”. Surrounded by amazing mangroves, this beautiful water body has an impressive 25-meter diameter cenote. It is not allowed to swim in the cenote unless you are accompanied by a tour guide. Punta Laguna
This place will really make you feel in touch with yourself and with nature. Punta Laguna is located halfway Valladolid and Chichen Itza. It is surrounded by lush vegetation which will grant you a magnificent view all along your way. There, you will be able to walk around the jungle with a native as your tour guide. Lagoon of the 7 colors – Bacalar
Bacalar is a small yet marvelous place that boasts one of the most beautiful lagoons of Quintana Roo and the world. If you are just passing by, you will discover that walking around the town is a pleasant activity; there is a museum, local restaurants, green areas and of course, the amazing blue lagoon known as Bacalar Lagoon.
