It is said that the word Mariachi comes from the French root “mariage”, meaning marriage or wedding, we cannot tell for sure but one thing we do know is that there is no party in Mexico without a proper Mariachi. Whether it is with the whole Mariachi ensemble or listening to a recorded song from your favorite playlist, we can assure you that any song sounds brand new if played by a Mexican Mariachi.
Cheerful and playful in every event, musicians who are part of the group have a particular dress code in which both women and men dress to perform in a traditionally elegant way. The main instruments used to create the perfect melody and accompany the voice are guitars, violins, trumpets, a vihuela giving vitality to the rhythm of any song, a guitarrón which is basically a bass.
