Mexican beaches are full of…well sand and water, but nooo, that’s not all! There are many types of beaches in Mexico, the ones of the Gulf, in the Pacific and of course in the Mexican Caribbean, the latter being the best according to us.
But how is a day at a Mexican beach? Fine, first of all you have to get there, which is really easy once you are in a tourist destination like Cancun, Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya, Acapulco, Veracruz, Puerto Vallarta, etc. – by the way, Mexico has a lot of public beaches everywhere in the cost -. Once you are there life simply gets better…
In some beaches around the country you will find a lot to eat while taking a sunbath, from kibi balls in Cancun (wheat balls stuffed with grinded meat or cheese), fresh fruit stands in Playa del Carmen, coconut ice cream and cheese and pineapple pies in Puerto Vallarta, pescadillas (something like quesadillas but made of fish –no cheese) and tamarind pulps in Acapulco, etc… If you have a strong stomach try them, for the locals, -including me- they are a delicacy.
Another thing you can get for a fair price if you negotiate a bit is the traditional trencitas (thin braids) from Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta. Why not? You will be the envy of everyone back home. If you want something different do a banana boat ride, it will be very funny. And if you are coming to Cancun, where I am writing this blog post from, take a parasailing tour or whatever other tour you would like and feel the freedom of the sea and the lagoon running through your veins.
Well, there are a bunch of other interesting and fun activities for you to do and we are sure that whatever you wanna do, you will have a blast here in the beaches of Mexico.
