Privileged by a magnificent climate basically all year round, Cancun is a real paradise on earth for those who want to get away from the routine of daily life and are seeking to live incredible moments together with their families or friends, on a romantic trip or that backpack adventure you’ve always wanted to live… in Cancun there will always be something fun and interesting to do.
That is why this time we want to tell you about some of the top attractions in Cancun, so that you have a good deal of options to choose from:
Cancun Hotel Zone: Beaches, sea & nightlife
It is fair to say that Cancun is one of the best destinations for families, groups of friends and couples seeking for a vacation that has it all: romance, water and land activities for kids and adults, and amazing adventures for the intrepid. And the best is that you find it in just one place Cancun Hotel Zone. So if you are staying at a hotel there or downtown there will be no excuse to visit any of the public beaches like Perlas, Linda, Langosta, Caracol or Chac-mool, or just stay on the beach right in front of your hotel, to get the best tan and enjoy swimming in the blue Caribbean Sea.
Another great thing about Cancun Hotel Zone is the vivid nightlife. Actually at KM 9 you will find the nightclubs area with an incredible array of options such as the already famous Coco Bongo and its amazing shows, Palazzo playing great music, The City, Mandala and a lot of bars for people who want to have fun and drink a refreshing beverage while dancing by the sea.
Cancun Jardín del Arte (Art Garden)
Located in Cancun Hotel Zone, the Jardín del Arte is a nice open area that we could say is divided into two parts, right by the Nichupte Lagoon there is small garden with small bandstands featuring hammocks for the use of the visitors. It is a really beautiful place to see the sunset. And right crossing the street, you will find a big grass area with stone sculptures; a good place to take pics, if you ask us.
This amazing activity is not as famous as it should be. Located in KM 4.5 of Cancun Hotel Zone, the Torre Escénica (Scenic Tower) is 110 m tall and will provide you with amazing views of the Hotel Zone and of course, the beautiful Caribbean Sea and the Nichupte Lagoon. You can both climb to the top or just sit in the round elevator that will rotate while rising you to the heights.
There is a great variety of shopping malls both in Cancun Downtown and in the Hotel Zone but the most visited for a great shopping day are: La Isla Shopping Mall (KM 12.5), Kukulkan Plaza (KM 13), the recently opened Puerto Cancun (KM 1) and Plaza Las Americas Shopping Mall (Cancun Downtown). All of them with incredible features, restaurants, duty free shops and more. If you can, visit them all.
Another nice attraction that recently opened for the public in Cancun is the Great Wheel of Fortune at La Isla Shopping Mall. It is a great thing to do if you want to see the whole Cancun Hotel Zone from the heights. And don’t worry about the sun, for all the baskets are polarized so that you can enjoy the view.
